The news started to spread just like the fire which started at a section of J. Wray and Nephew's warehouses just minutes before the start of the company's annual Christmas media party. Many were left pondering their next move. Should they go home or remain at the Constant Spring Golf Club?

The decision was soon obvious. One of the most anticipated media appreciation parties yearly, Wray and Nephew's Christmas media bash was the event to be at on Tuesday night. As was expected, persons came out way past the starting time, some just simply being the usual late partygoers and others due to indecisiveness caused by the unfortunate blaze at the host's establishment.

Based on the high energy fuelled by DJ Inferno, the Wray and Nephew team ensured that everyone had a superb time, especially on the dance floor.

Entering on a red carpet, guests had a choice to remain outside where there was a martini bar. Those eager to dance converged on the dance floor inside, still close enough to be sandwiched between the DJ booth and another bar.

Musical journey

Starting the party with retro hits, DJ Inferno took guests on a musical journey with different genres that got the waistlines going.

To allow guests some rest, Busy Signal raised the tempo with his delivery, ranging from social commentary to lovers rock.

After the giveaways, it was back to dancing. This time, the latest dancehall hits ruled the turntable, prompting many to find dance partners and, in some cases, renting one or two tiles.

Some guests in attendance included: Janet Fagan, Yvonne Wilks, Michael Gordon, Brian Schmidt, Garfield Robinson, Kerlyn Brown, Francois St Juste, Ed Khoury, Al Edwards, Andrew Canon, Janella Precius, Tomlin Ellis, Wayne Walker, MC extraordinaire Jenny Jenny, Keisha-Ann Sleight, Julian Richardson, Job Nelson, Dara Smith, Damien Phillips, Gillian Haughton, Michael and Nicole Williams, Christopher Serju, Karyl Walker, Kimberly Blair, Paul Henry, Cecil Thoms, Garth Williams, Bryan Cummings, Dina-Kay Burrowes, Kevin Jackson, Dennis Chung, Debbie-Ann Wright, Archibald Gordon, Rodney Campbell, Roy Sweetland, Orville Higgins, Cassius Watson, Brian St Juste, Rodger Hutchinson, Noran Price, Hugh Stone and Craig Ross.

James and Christine Wood are certainly a happy pair.
