strong>LOOKS LIKE those people of a certain age who had come to rely on the ambience of the entertainment spot that once occupied premises at Pulse headquarters on Trafalgar Road could not wait for last week Friday's opening of Studio 38. Well, except for the opening night jitters of slow bar service, it got off to a great start.
People kept pouring in all night for what was scheduled to be a 5:30 start. There were the early-birds, the fashionably late crowd and the really seasoned night owls who arrived close to the bewitching hour.
Congratulations to Kingsley Cooper and his partners, Debbie Morgan, Renée Lattibudaire and Lloyd Thomas, for coming together to start Studio 38; long may it live.
We expect it will, if the vibe continues to be the same as it was for the launch. Cooper apologises profusely to the patrons for the bar service that was well below the expected standard and assures The Gleaner that this weekend the management will double the number of bars and service providers and generally enhance all aspects of customer service.
A variety of food options have been added, including finger foods and soup, for those who do not need a full meal. And for the immediate future, here is a taste of what is to come: On Wednes-days, it's Errol's Rock and Groove, featuring Errol from the legendary Rock Club.
There will be Footloose Fridays when patrons can hang out, dance and enjoy the ultimate Friday experience with Señor Daley and Company. And on Sundays, it's Sundaze Jazz and Juice with Tommy and Patrick.
