Pulse has put the full-figured women front and centre in its reality series. Meet some of the women you will be seeing a lot more of in the coming weeks.

Cindy Lyons

Age: 28

Height: 5'9"

An avid sportswoman, Westmoreland native Cindy is also the consummate traveller. She has spent most of her early years living on a US Naval Base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, as well as in several provinces in Canada. Now repositioned in Jamaica, the executive assistant is ready to take the inaugural Pulse CMS reality TV series by storm.

"I was always interested in creating innovative poses when taking pictures ever since I was a child and most of the pictures that I took depicted a model in the making. When I found out that Pulse was venturing into the world of plus-size modelling, I entered because I thought it would be a great opportunity to fulfil my childhood dreams. I believe that I have the right attitude, temperament and personality to go the distance," she said.

When she isn't dreaming of rocking the catwalk, Cindy enjoys doing crossword puzzles and playing video/computer games.

Ayesha Dawes

Age: 23

Height: 5'6"

"I love animals ... especially dogs," says avid animal-lover Ayesha Dawes. So bewitched is she by cuddly critters that she has spent the last three years working with the Jamaica Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. "I started off just being a volunteer, cleaning and exercising the animals, then I moved to veterinary assistant then moved to the head of adoptions. I loved that job so much! I was able to dedicate my days to my favourite beings on Earth," she said.

When she isn't displaying her penchant for animals, Ayesha is keyed into fashion. "I've always been interested in the fashion industry. I love to browse the different websites and magazines and see what's new in fashion," she said. Ayesha hopes to take the inaugural reality title home and asserts that, if selected as the first reality TV full-figured winner, she will "represent best as possible the Caribbean full-figured women and help to boost the self-confidence in our nation's women and teenagers."

Carlene Taylor

Age: 28

Height: 5'8"

A trained English and history teacher, Carlene Taylor is indeed a woman of multiple interests. A trained actress and versed in television production, Carlene currently works for a media production company and also dabbles in theatre. "I enjoy acting ... just anything to do with being in front of or behind the camera," she said.

Now faced with perhaps her biggest role yet, Carlene is set to make waves in the Pulse full-figure reality TV show. "I have always been intrigued by modelling. I see modelling as an art form and I liken myself to the potter's clay - ready to be shaped. This competition could catapult me into realising my dream of being a renowned model of class and great quality."

She also believes her training in theatre will give her an extra edge in the CMS full-figure competition, saying "I am a professional actress, so achieving emotions comes with relative ease and, hence, makes for good direction and photography."
