Clarification from the National Land Agency
THE EDITOR, Sir:

IN RESPONSE to the article titled 'No title for the minister's house', written by Assistant News Editor Damion Mitchell and published on Sunday, August 16, the National Land Agency wishes to address and correct the erroneously stated turnaround time for the receipt and return of the instrument of transfer for the property in question.

Instrument processed

The instrument of transfer, which was lodged with the Land Titles Division on March 31, was processed within 24 hours of receipt and rejected on April 1, on the basis that the original certifi-cate of good standing from the Registrar of Companies for the Jamaica Omnibus Service was not submitted.

The documents were collected on behalf of the Port Authority of Jamaica on April 2.

We would like to take this opportunity to advise the writer to contact our Land Titles Division's Customer Service Unit at 946-5263/750-5263 for any further clarification and information.

I am, etc.,

Kellee King-Campbell
